For the National Geographic "Bugs in the Tree" story, I designed a visually immersive layout that brings readers into the intricate world of insects. Using vivid, close-up photography of insects in their natural habitats, I highlighted the small-scale yet vital roles these creatures play in forest ecosystems.
To enhance the experience, we included actual-size illustrations of the insects alongside the detailed images, giving readers a true sense of their scale. The layout balances these dynamic visuals with clean, readable text columns in a modern serif font. The design captures the beauty and significance of these micro-ecosystems while providing an informative and captivating experience.
